FACILITIES

Our campus houses a 1,200 square foot studio with roller door access, suspended lighting grid and 22 foot green screen. The studio is utilized for theory lectures, class practical sessions and both course related and outside film and television productions. 

The computer lab consists of 20 i-Macs (one computer per student) with Avid Media Composer, Adobe CS4, Final Cut Studio, Movie Magic Budgeting and Scheduling, Pro Tools, and Final Draft scriptwriting software.  All computers are networked for ease of file and screen sharing and have printing, scanning and internet access.

The sound studio functions as both a control room for multi-camera television productions and an audio recording facility, with a professional vocal booth and Pro Tools suite.

IFC is proud to provide its students with quality film and television equipment, including Arri lighting kits, Sachtler fluid head tripods, Panasonic DVCPro HD cameras, Redrock 35mm adaptor, HD camera monitors, Sennheiser microphones, Edirol solid state audio recorders, 16mm film cameras and Nikon 35mm SLR cameras. The College equipment is continually updated to ensure students are working with industry standard equipment.

Students also enjoy use of a student lounge with industry magazines and DVD library, a kitchen with microwave, refrigerator and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, and regular organized social barbeques.
