ADVANCED DIPLOMA OF SCREEN & MEDIA (CUF60107)

1 Year Full Time (on successful completion of the Diploma of Screen and Media)

Australian Residents have the option of studying 1 to 2 subjects per term on a part time basis if they have successfully completed all Diploma of Screen and Media subjects. Overseas Students must study full time to fulfill student visa requirements.

Diploma of Screen and Media graduates may further their studies in the Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media, which is an additional one year full time course for those with aspirations of becoming a Writer, Producer or Director. An additional twelve Units of Competency are grouped into seven subjects. The Advanced Diploma comprises all of the Diploma subjects followed by:

Developing Storylines

Advanced Cinematography

Marketing

Scriptwriting

Directing Performers

Major Project

 

This comprehensive course will build upon skills developed in the Diploma of Screen and Media.  Students will write, produce, direct and market their own major film project with fellow class students filling key creative roles.The course duration is 36 weeks with students attending 20 contact hours per week. 

Classes are conducted Wednesday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm for the first 2 terms, with out-of-class film production and post production scheduled for the final 2 terms.   There are no set hours for the film production; however, students will still be required to attend at least 20 hours on set or in post production per week in the final 2 terms.
